Description

Protection Level:

The protection level is not affected by the type of ceramic selected; different types of ceramics only influence the weight of the inserts.

• NIJ IIIA / VPAM4: Compliant with NIJ 0101.06 standards, this rigid insert provides protection against the most common handgun calibers, including 9x19mm, .45ACP, .357 Mag, .44 Mag, as well as certain 12-gauge rounds and shrapnel. It is also effective against edged weapons (thrusting and slashing attacks). It can withstand multiple impacts.

• NIJ III SS109 / VPAM7: Compliant with NIJ 0101.06 standards, this rigid insert is suitable for situations requiring a higher level of protection than NIJ IIIA. Its lightweight design, combined with significant protection enhancement, makes it a valuable asset.

It is designed to stop semi-armor-piercing rounds such as 7.62×39 M43 PS Ball / MSC, 5.56×45 SS109, 5.45×39 7N6, and equivalent high-performance rounds. It can withstand multiple impacts.

• NIJ III API-BZ / VPAM8: Compliant with NIJ 0101.06 standards, this rigid insert combines both strength and lightweight properties. It is suitable for situations requiring a high level of protection. Its moderate weight compared to NIJ IV protection is a considerable advantage.

It is designed to stop one of the most armor-piercing 7.62×39 rounds: the 7.62×39 API-BZ, as well as equivalent high-performance rounds. It can withstand multiple impacts.

• NIJ IV / VPAM10: The highest level of protection in our range. These rigid inserts are designed to stop a wide variety of armor-piercing rounds, ranging from 7.62x54R API B32 to .30-06 AP M2 and equivalent ammunition. It can withstand multiple impacts.

High-Quality Materials:

Manufactured from UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) for NIJ IIIA protection plates, or a combination of UHMWPE and ceramics for NIJ III API-BZ and NIJ IV, these materials are extremely lightweight while offering high resistance and the ability to absorb significant energy.

Our polyurethane coating enhances mechanical resistance, improves grip (ensuring better stability in vests or backpacks), and improves waterproofing in humid conditions.

Types of Ceramics:

• Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃): With a density of 3.97 g/cm³, recognizable by its white color, it is the heaviest of the available ballistic ceramics but also the most cost-effective.

• Silicon Carbide (SiC): With a density of 3.16 g/cm³ and an anthracite gray color, this ceramic significantly reduces the weight of protection compared to aluminum oxide. It offers a good weight-to-cost ratio.

• Boron Carbide (B4C): With a density of 2.51 g/cm³ and a hardness comparable to SiC, this is the lightest of our ballistic ceramics. It is the ultimate choice for lightweight protection without compromise.
